Our mission

Convai has been redefining the rules of customer experience for over 25 years. Seeing an opportunity to reinvent legacy ‘press one for sales’ menus, our founders embarked on a mission to change how customers and contact centres interact. They pioneered the way teams innovate, empowered by operational insights and unburdened by technical complexity.

Convai’s evolution took a critical leap forward when we were acquired by Probe Group — the largest customer experience provider in Australasia.

Convai’s strategic direction is spearheaded by CEO Dr Mike Banbrook — recently named Most Influential CEO – New Zealand (AI CX Solutions) by CEO Monthly Magazine. Mike’s governed AI philosophy underpins Oration, ensuring it acts within strict guardrails as it scales organisations’ contact centre operations.

Executing Convai’s strategy is a specialised in-house team of software engineers, AI researchers and CX strategists, who believe in making conversational AI accessible. For us, this means giving CX and operations teams the power to configure logic and optimise the customer journey in real-time, informed by operational insights.
